Under our laws, when the term "Person" is applied to a human being, it refers to the presence of a particular set of individual rights such as listed above.  In other words, to be a legal person is to be protected by a series of God given and constitutionally protected rights.

Missouri Personhood has a very simple purpose, to help transform our local and state communities into an energetic and effective advocate for the pre-born,  After Colorado became the first state in the country to put the question of Personhood on the ballot, individuals from across the country wanted to carry Personhood to their states.

Abortion advocates know that if we clearly define pre-born children as legal persons, they will have the same right to life as all Americans.

Through Personhood, prayerfully, we can teach all Missouri to respect ALL human life.  When we advocate for the legal personhood of the pre-born we make people ask themselves the question, "What is a person?" And, "Shouldn't all human beings also be considered legal persons?"  Putting a Personhood measure on the ballot kick starts the conversation, and it creates a tremendous educational opportunity.
